Daly Dose 10-21-20 Handing out our 2020 NBA Awards

This week on the Daly Dose, we are back after a short break, and we are discussing the current popularity of playing “make believe”. We are seeing so many people playing pretend in everyday life, and in the world of sports! This week, we look at a number of the ways that life today is forcing us to do a lot of pretending, and we talk about some of the crazy things that are taking place right now in the state of California!

Alabama head coach Nick Saban refused to sit out the Crimson Tide’s big win against Georgia, we have some good news for haters of the New England Patriots, but some bad news for most of the rest of the NFL, and the Los Angeles Dodgers flexed some serious muscle last night in Game 1 of the 2020 WorldSeries. Can the Tampa Bay Rays find a way to battle back?

Then, we are handing out some 2019-2020 NBA season end awards! We realize that no one watched the NBA Playoffs or Finals, but we are still handing out some awards for 6th Man, Coach of the Year, Executive of the Year, and the Most Valuable Player!

Finally, following the Lakers NBA Finals win, Lebron James said he wanted some respect! Today, our Daly Dose Top 5 counts down five ways that we can show him some!

Daly Dose 07-29-20 The NBA is back!

This week on the Daly Dose, it is National Chicken Wing day and we are counting all of the ways to enjoy them! Plus, we wish a happy birthday to a very interesting person in the boxing world!

The return of Major League Baseball last week provided some very interesting moments, and we discuss whether the Florida Marlins should cause MLB to be shut back down.

The NHL has a new team and their nickname could be problematic, the NFL sees an interesting trade, and we have a boxing exhibition coming that no one should watch.

Then, with the NBA set to restart this week, we are joined by a longtime friend of the show to discuss what we should be expecting from the NBA Bubble.

Which teams are the true contenders? Who are the pretenders? Which player has the most on the line? Which player is most likely to be caught sneaking out of the bubble…or even telling on others who break the rules?

Who will win the NBA Bubble Championship? We answer all of these questions, and more, this week o

Daly Dose 07-22-20 Our questions for the restart of the NBA season

This week on the Daly Dose, it is National Hot Dog Day, and we discuss that staple of American sports concession stands!

A major sports story took place last week, but most of the media tended to ignore it. Major League Baseball is returning this week, but most of us will ignore that too.

Two NFL players are hanging up their cleats, but they are each in very different situations, and the former Washington Redskins franchise still has a number of problems to sort out.

Then, we are taking a close look at the restart of the NBA season next week. We have a number of questions for how this will all work. What is the playoff format? How will the play-in tournament work? Who will the neutral court in Orlando favor the most? What is going to happen if someone tests positive? We do our best to answer these questions and many more.

Finally, we know that the finish to this season is going to be a little weird. Today our Daly Dose Top 5 counts down the Top 5 weirdest moments in NBA history!

Finally, we examine the Major League Baseball scandal, and we have noticed that the Houston Astros are getting more and more frustrated by it. Today, we countdown the Top 5 Houston Astros pet peeves as we get ready for the upcoming season!

One college basketball team has already made history before the season even starts, and our Daly Dose I-team has found the cause of former college football coach Mark Richt’s heart attack!

Then we pivot around the world of sports, looking at both some flattering and unflattering snapshots in MLB, the NBA, NCAA Football, and the NFL! MLB loves to show their home runs, but the postseason always seems to change their focus. The NBA could have a serious fan base problem. College football still has 10 undefeated teams, but we explain why that’s no reason for concern. The, we examine the terrible NFL officiating, and are the New England Patriots not as good as advertised because of their soft schedule? We review these scenarios and more!

Finally, with the Wisconsin Badgers getting beat last weekend after being favored by 30.5 points, we countdown the Top 5 college football upsets of all time by Las Vegas point spread!

Daly Dose 07-03-19 Our 2019 NBA Awards

This week on the Daly Dose, it is nearly the Fourth of July, and we discuss all of the festivities that will be taking place here in the USA!

NBA free agency got started this week, and we saw some major shifts in the league. Are the Brooklyn Nets truly going to be the big winners? Are the New York Knicks already proving to be losers? And what are the Golden State Warriors doing?

How were the Toronto Raptors able to upset the Golden State Warriors? What makes Kawhi Leonard such a special player? Which role players proved to be key to delivering a title to Canada?

Daly Dose 03-20-19 The best of the Daly Dose

Wednesday on the Daly Dose, we are remembering a Daly Dose from the early days of the podcast!
