Daly Dose 03-25-20 NFL free agency goes wild

This week on the Daly Dose, we are back from a very interesting break, and we discuss our time off last week. We also reflect on doing a sports show when sports aren’t actually taking place, and we share how we are spending our time in quarantine. It isn’t quite what we expected. 

The New York Mets get some bad news, the Summer Olympics get delayed, and ESPN seems to be covering up a pretty big NFL story. 

Then, we take a look at a few of the things that we have learned over the past few weeks in sports. The NFL has a new collective bargaining agreement. This week on the Daly Dose, we are flashing back to an early edition of the Daly Dose! It was the summer of 2015 and there weren’t a ton of sports stories coming out, so we decided to break out the Daly Dose mailbag and read some questions from listeners.

We introduced a few members of the Daly Dose I-Team, we actually talked some politics, explained why we pick on certain teams, and how important is the NBA summer league? 

We also heard from a listener about youth sports. Should young athletes begin to specialize at an early age? Plus, we name our all time NBA starting five, give some advice to a young basketball player that is hoping to make a team, hand out some dating advice, and much much more!

This week on the Daly Dose, we wish a very happy birthday to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, but he has other things on his mind. 

The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to sort out their issues, the New York Knicks are asking for patience, and the NBA is trying to be cautious about the coronavirus. 

We have a question for Princeton students that are upset about Marshawn Lynch speaking at their school, the Denver Broncos actually do something positive, and Tony Romo gets paid.

Then, we take a look at some of the biggest questions in the NFL offseason. There are a number of players that could be moving, and the NFL Draft should be very interesting to watch.

Daly Dose 02-12-20 Goodbye to the 2019 NFL season

This week on the Daly Dose, Valentine’s Day is coming, and we were able to run down a few Valentines that are being handed out by some of the top sports figures in the world. 

We discuss the changes that could be coming for Major League Baseball, the return of Bobby Knight to Indiana, and winners and losers from the NBA trade deadline last week.

Then, with the NFL season now complete, we look back at some of the more memorable moments, and hand out some awards to the top performers! Who wins our Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player and Least Valuable Player?

Daly Dose 12-25-19 Our Daly Dose Christmas wishes

This week on the Daly Dose, we take a look at NFL playoff scenarios as we go into the final week of the regular season. Who will make it? And who will be left out?

Then, we preview the upcoming College Football Playoff games. Who will win the Peach Bowl between the Oklahoma Sooners and LSU Tigers? And who will come out on top in the Fiesta Bowl between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Clemson Tigers? We make our prediction for each!

This week on the Daly Dose, we discuss the booming business that sports uniforms have become and which NFL teams should make some immediate changes to their uniform strategy. 

Both Ohio State and Memphis have a top athlete in trouble with the NCAA, one NBA player made a very questionable decision, Arkansas fired their football coach, and Florida State is looking for a new head coach. Could they make a big name hire? Plus, we have a very strange story coming out of pro golf!

Then, we look back at a wild weekend in both college football, and the NFL. We saw upsets, wild finishes, and great performances, and we are breaking down the winners and losers from the best weekend of the football season so far!

This week on the Daly Dose, the NBA says they are going to crack down on tampering, but we aren’t sure their consequences are that unforgiving. The Kansas Jayhawks basketball program may be in big trouble, but it probably won’t affect them this season. The New England Patriots cut troubled wide receiver Antonio Brown, and he now says he is going back to school. We were able to run down a transcript of the classes he is going to be taking.

Then we take a quick look at the Major League Baseball playoffs that are going to be starting soon, and preview some early possible matchups.
