HOF Committee admits: “We don’t have a plaque big enough for Bonds head.”

Last week the National Baseball Hall of Fame elected three more players to be inducted into its esteemed halls.

Yet, for the fifth time, one of the greatest players in the game’s history was passed over by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.

First baseman Jeff Bagwell, left fielder Tim Raines, and catcher Ivan Rodriguez earned themselves a plaque in Cooperstown, with their incredible careers.

Barry Bonds was a 14 time All Star, an eight time Golden Glove winner, and a hitter that knocked out 762 career home runs.

And while the speculation has always been, that baseball writers have held the rumors of steroid use against Bonds, that isn’t the full story.

Baseball Hall of Fame spokesman Jack Wheeler explained the difficulty in electing the voting for the left fielder.

“We realize that Bonds used steroids. Let’s be honest, there are plenty of people involved with steroids that are already in Cooperstown.  I mean, Bud Selig used to literally walk through locker rooms with a blindfold on…just so he couldn’t see the rampant drug use, and he got in.” Wheeler said.

“The problem that we are facing with Barry Bonds, is that his head is way too big to fit on a plaque.” he explained. “We have tried to cast a plaque for Bonds and his head takes up the entire square. There is literally no room for anything else. And when we try to hang it, the weight of the plaque keeps ripping the nail right out of the wall. Until we can come up with a new design, there just isn’t much we can do right now.”

City of Los Angeles petitioning for an NFL team

For 46 years, NFL football was played in the city of Los Angeles.

However, the second largest city in America is now still being left without a professional football franchise for the 23rd straight year.

And Los Angeles residents aren’t going to stand for it any longer.

Last week, a petition was started to bring NFL football back to the City of Angels.

Petition spokesperson Michael Garcetti spoke to the Daly Dose on Monday and stated the reasoning behind the petition.

“We are the largest city in California. We are the second largest city in the United States. Yet, for some reason we cannot have any representation in the National Football League.” Garcetti continued. “When I was a boy living in Los Angeles, I watched Deacon Jones and Merlin Olsen. They were true professionals. And we cheered for Jack Youngblood and Jackie Slater and Eric Dickerson. But we haven’t had football to cheer for in over twenty years, and that needs to change!”

So far, Garcetti claims that he has over 40 thousand signatures, and that he is going to continue to get even more.

“We are going to keep getting signatures.” he concluded. “It isn’t fair that some cities like New York have two NFL franchises, and we can’t even get one!”

Pigs spotted flying after Brock Osweiler wins playoff game

Police and 911 dispatchers, in the greater Houston area, have been flooded calls with calls  since Saturday.

And all of the calls are reporting similar incidents.

According to local dispatcher Bess Langton, callers are reporting numerous pigs flying throughout the Houston area.

“The calls started about 6:30-7:00 p.m.” said Langton on Monday. “Folks were calling and saying they had seen a number of pigs flying around their neighborhoods. We just assumed that it was a prank, or they were drunk, or something.”

Houston Chief of Police Hubert Turner has a different theory.

“The timing of those calls seems to align perfectly with the end of the Houston Texans playoff victory over the Oakland Raiders.” Turner speculated.

“A widespread investigation of the area has concluded that these reports are actually  happening.” he continued. “It’s hard for us here to be reporting this to you, but it does seem to be a fact. Brock Osweiler winning a playoff game seems to have triggered this bizarre series of events, and at this point we are just hoping that the apocalypse isn’t coming next.”
