John Daly thinks Tiger Woods might have a problem

As pro golfer Tiger Woods was arrested on a DUI charge early Monday morning, the sports world marveled at how far the superstar has fallen.

The former great was busted Monday around 3 a.m. in Jupiter, Florida, and released later on his own recognizance. Woods is now 41, and has fallen completely off the map in the golfing world. His career has been marred by injuries, a sex scandal, and poor play.

Now, there are many in the sports world that are beginning to offer some life advice.

Pro golfer John Daly feels like Tiger might have some vices he needs to deal with. “That dude is crazy, man. I like ole Tiger man, but that dude might have a problem. He chases all the women, drinks all the beer, he’s a fun guy to hang out with, but I just have take a break sometimes, man.” Daly stated. “Don’t get me wrong. I like to party. I’m on my way to a party right now and it’s 9 a.m. There’s gonna be a donkey, and a stripper on a trapeze, but I can’t keep up with Tiger. That dude might need some reflection, man. I hope he’s out in time to come to the party. Maybe I can be a mentor to that dude.”

Daly Doses: Thoughts, reflections, and derision from the Mile High City!

Doses

  • Another week of meaningless NFL preseason football. And nothing to show for it but some major injuries to key players.
  • The Packers lost wide receiver Jordy Nelson to an ACL. He could miss the season.
  • The Steelers lost center Maurkice Pouncey to a broken fibula that will require surgery.
  • But the NFL owners didn’t lose a dime as they charged their season ticket holders for every one of those terrible scrimmages.
  • And somehow the Washington Redskins did not lose their quarterback Robert Griffin III, depsite their best efforts to get him killed aginst the Detroit Lions last week. Griffin was sacked threee times, hit numerous other times, and fumbled twice, before leaving with concussion symptoms.
  • The word in Washington is that Griffin is buddies with Washignton owner Daniel Snyder; and that Snyder insists on the coaching staff naming Griffin the starter.
  • Everytime he went down I swear I saw his head coach Jay Gruden giggling on the sideline.
  • Did you see Tiger Woods went into Sunday’s final day at the Wyndham Championship just two strokes off the lead?
  • He shot a 70 on Sunday and finished at No. 178 in the final standings as 51 year old Davis Love III became the third oldest winner in PGA history.
  • It is no longer surprising in any way when Tiger melts down. In fact, it’s expected.
  • Next thing you’ll be telling me that he might have more than one girlfriend.
  • Peyton Manning says that due to the neck surgeries he has undergone he doesn’t have any feeling in the fingertips of his right hand.
  • So you’re telling me he can tickle himself?
  • Oh excuse me for being Mr. Optimist.
  • Video evidence was floating around that at the 2014 NFL Rookie Symposium Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter stated that NFL players need to find a “fall guy” for when they get in to trouble.
  • Carter was not telling these young men to make better decisions or to be careful of the people that they trust. He instead decided to told them they are too stupid to stay out of trouble so they had better get someone to pay the price for their sins.
  • In New England they call those guys “ball boys”.

  • How does your favorite NFL team look so far in preseason?
  • Some fans will get too confident after seeing some preseason success.
  • “Did you see Ameer Abdullah with the Lions? He looks like the next Barry Sanders!”
  • Others will really get depressed after watching their team struggle.
  • “The Denver Broncos special teams are going to be horrible this year. Did you see them against the Seahawks?”
  • They’re both wrong.
  • These dumb exhibitions are not any sort of dependable gauge of what any team will actually do in the regular season.
  • They are only a gauge as to how greedy the NFL owners are when they charge the season ticket holders full price for these glorified scrimmages.
  • Knock four games off of the bill and open up the ticket office once a year to people that don’t usually get to see the games in person.
  • I know…there I go making sense again.
  • After watching what Jason Day did at the PGA Championship and what young players like Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and Rickie Fowler are capable of I think the world of golf can relax.
  • The future is very bright.
  • You can stop stuffing Tiger Woods down our throats anytime now.
  • I love Tiger, and he changed the game like no other, but I dont need a clip of him every five minutes. These guys are pretty good in their own right.
  • So college football is starting in just over two weeks, which is very exciting.
  • Well I mean, it’s exciting if you actually have a team to be excited about.
  • But I live in Colorado.
  • So it’s kind of like telling me that Adam Sandler has made another movie.
  • It was kind of fun in the 90’s but I think I already know how this is going to go.
  • And it’s probably going to be painful.
