We look at some of the top teams, top players, Cinderellas, coaches, and teams that you should be cautious of when you fill out those office pool brackets! Will the Coronavirus affect the tournament? And what is that virus teaching us about ourselves right now?

Plus, we take a look at a different type of success in college basketball, as we count down the Top 5 college basketball programs that have produced the most NBA players of all time!

Daly Dose 12-04-19 Previewing the CFB conference championships

This week on the Daly Dose, we remember the fallacy of athletic protective cups, discuss a number of things that we have learned over the past week in sports, and quickly preview the upcoming college football conference title games!

What did we learn from the Ohio State vs Michigan game, and from the Iron Bowl? What did we learn from the Dallas Cowboys loss on Thanksgiving? We saw one NFL quarterback’s era possibly begin on Sunday, but did we see another one’s end? Should the New England Patriots be concerned about their recent struggles? In the NBA, we learned about a defensive stopper that we didn’t know existed, and one former player can’t be happy about it. 

We preview the upcoming college football conference championship games, and how they are going to impact the College Football Playoff that will be announced on Sunday!

Finally, we saw history in college football last weekend, as Jim Harbaugh became the first coach to lose his first five games in the Ohio State vs. Michigan series. Today, our Daly Dose Top 5 counts down five other firsts that Harbaugh has accomplished in his amazing career!

This week on the Daly Dose, we talk with longtime high school basketball coach Russ McKinstry about some of the biggest stories in sports today!

Starting in college football, did Alabama coach Nick Saban make a mistake by having QB Tua Tagovailoa in the game, when he was injured? What mistake did Baylor make in the loss against Oklahoma? Which teams are the true contenders as the regular season winds down?

Moving over to the NFL, we discuss the Colin Kaepernick workout, the Myles Garrett suspension, and which team could unseat the New England Patriots. We also discuss the problems without our hometown Denver Broncos, and what we are hoping for going forward. 

We talk about the college basketball scandals, and what the lack of actual punishment is telling us. We also discuss one major change this season that could affect which teams make a run at a title.

Finally, we get Coach Mac’s thoughts on the NBA this season, and look at some of the new contenders and how much the league has changed!

This week on the Daly Dose, we are previewing the 2019 College Football season that begins this week! We begin to look at all of the contenders for each of the Big 5 conferences, and make our picks for who will win them! Will Clemson dominate the ACC again? Can Oklahoma stay ahead of the competition in the Big 12? Can Ohio State continue to dominate the Big Ten even without head coach Urban Meyer?

Plus, we wish a happy birthday to the fastest man on the planet Usain Bolt, and the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for some new…old players. Plus, the NFL reinstates New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon, and Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown strenuously objects to the league’s helmet ruling!

Tuesday on the Dose, we discuss why the college basketball scandal doesn’t seem to be gaining much traction, and we look at a disturbing story that came out of the Final Four in Minneapolis!

Then, we celebrate our 500th episode of the Dose, as we are joined by longtime friend basketball coach Russ McKinstry to recap March Madness! We take a look at how the Virginia Cavaliers were able to scrape out win after win on their way to the National Championship, and we discuss the state of college basketball today!

Daly Dose 04-10-19 Magic walks away from the Lakers

Wednesday on the Daly Dose, we discuss Magic Johnson surprisingly stepping down with the Los Angeles Lakers, and what that move means for LeBron James.  

Las Vegas sports books have made the Virginia Cavaliers a favorite to repeat next year, and we think we know why. UCLA took awhile to land their new head basketball coach, but at least they made some new friends along the way in the process!

Then, our Daly Dose hump day power rankings begin to take a look forward to the 2019 NFL season. Does the league need to rethink their scheduling process?

Monday on the Daly Dose, we preview tonight’s NCAA Championship game between the Virginia Cavaliers and Texas Tech Red Raiders! Who will come out on top?

Friday on the Daly Dose, the Daly Dose March Madness scandal takes another turn, and we take a look at an NBA team that should probably be getting a lot more attention than they are currently getting.
