Team Next game Outlook
1. Ohio State Mon. @Virginia Tech The defending champs open up in a tough place heading to Blacksburg, VA to take on a scrappy Hokies squad that gave them their only loss last season. The Buckeyes should get used to being in tough places because based on Urban Meyer’s record a few of them will end up in prison eventually.
2. Auburn Sat. vs. Louisville in Atlanta, GA Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn should have enough offense this year with QB Jeremy Johnson. And he went and got defensive coordinator Will Muschamp who should lead the country in dumb crazy-eyed looks at his players again this season.
3. TCU Thurs. @Minnesota TCU is loaded again returning 15 starters from last year’s team that went 12-1. They will get a tough test right off the bat from Minnesota who will try to bore them to death with their monotonous Big 10 style of play. Can the Horned Frogs stay awake? Stay tuned.
4. Notre Dame Sat. vs. Texas Notre Dame should be loaded this year but the problem for them is that their schedule is going to be very difficult. The good news is that even if they lose games the media will still rank them as if they had won. So it’s a win/win really.
5. Baylor Fri. @SMU After being disappointed last season by the final College Football Playoff poll that shut them out; the Bears return a ton of talent and should contend again….for 5th place.
