Daly Dose YouTube video 06-10-20 Our Daly Dose storytime podcast

This week on the Daly Dose YouTube video, with all of the crazy things taking place in the world right now, we decided to share a few of our favorite sports stories. We have a bizarre injury from MLB history, a story about some of the all time MLB greats acting less than Hall of Fame worthy, and a tragic story from the 1988 Seoul Olympics!

Daly Dose 05-13-20 When should sports return?

This week on the Daly Dose, we wish a very happy birthday to former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman, and we have a question for you about his celebration!

The latest episodes of Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance came out on Sunday, and we review what we learned this week. We also discuss why the NBA may not be starting any time soon.

Meanwhile, over in the NFL, Jay Cutler is headed for a divorce, Philip Rivers has a new job, and Earl Thomas is living dangerously.

Then, we take a look at the newly released 2020 NFL schedule, and discuss some of the most interesting games that will be worth watching.

Finally, our Daly Dose Top 5 takes a look back at five other times that sports had to be put on hold, and we begin to wonder when they can return to us now! We also discuss what each of these events teach us about our situation today!

This photo is of an undetermined Georgia Tech home game during the 1918 season. The photo was taken by Georgia Tech student Thomas Carter, who would receive a degree in Mechanical Engineering in the 1920s. The photo was provided by Georgia Tech alumnus Andy McNeil. Daly Dose 07-31-19 The longest sports championship droughts

This week on the Daly Dose, we wish Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban a very happy birthday, and discuss the sports innovation he has contributed that we all still feel the effects today. Plus, the NFC Championship controversy is somehow still dragging on!

Then, as we are in the heat of the summer, we take a look at the longest sports championship droughts going today. Which teams from MLB, NHL, NBA, and the NFL have been waiting the longest for the ultimate ending to the season?

Daly Dose 04-11-19 Who is to blame for the Lakers mess?

Thursday on the Daly Dose, we look at little closer at who should probably be getting the bulk of the blame for the Los Angeles Lakers’ woes, and we have an odd charge in the Tom Brady laser-gate situation.

Then, we take a look at some of the biggest sports media overreactions of the week!

Did a number of college basketball coaches make a mistake by not taking the UCLA job when they had the chance? Is Kevin Durant destined to leave the Golden State Warriors for a larger NBA market? We answer these questions and more today on the Dose!

Daly Dose 03-13-19 The Coach Mac interview Part 2

Wednesday on the Daly Dose, we have a new sports related college scandal, but this time no athletes are involved.

The Giants and the Chiefs made big trades in the NFL yesterday and we have a pretty good idea why both of them happened. Plus, NFL free agency keeps rolling along, but we haven’t seen any moves that will change the balance of power just yet.

The NBA has another bad fan/player interaction, but will Commissioner Adam Silver do anything impactful about it?

Then, we continue our conversation with long time basketball coach Russ McKinstry. We talk about whether Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray can be a true NFL quarterback, and then move our focus to the NBA. Can anyone challenge the Golden State Warriors? And what in the world happened to the Los Angeles Lakers this season?

Daly Dose 07-27-18 Those late season MLB collapses

Friday on the Daly Dose, we have some problems with the pro and college football preview magazines that are so popular at this time of year.

The Washington Nationals season is not going as expected, the Cleveland Browns might be delusional, and Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has some super powers that we were not aware of.

We preview the weekend in sports, and as we look at the current standings in Major League Baseball it might seem easy to forecast the postseason…but we count down the Top 5 MLB late season collapses of all time!
