The AFC East is a division that is chock full of talent, in a number of different positions.. Unfortunately for the rest of the division, it seems that the New England own literally all of it. The real question seems to be, could the other three teams combine to make one team, that could beat New England? And of course the answer is: no…no, they could not.
1. New England Patriots
Predicted finish: 13-3
Everything seems to be coming up roses for the Patriots, who won their fifth Super Bowl last year in historic fashion. There is even talk that this team could be perfect in 2017, and finish the season without a loss. The loss of WR Julian Edelman could be big, and apparently, we are just going to ignore the fact that the Pats were down by 25 points to the Falcons, in the second half of the Super Bowl. Perhaps, we have all had some unreported concussions too?
2. Miami Dolphins
Predicted finish: 9-7
The Dolphins were so desperate for a QB when Ryan Tannehill got hurt, that they convinced Jay Cutler to come out of retirement. We are betting that Cutler actually won’t be that bad, as he has experience playing for head coach Adam Gase. It isn’t like the expectations are high. How hard is it to look better than Ryan freaking Tannehill?
3. Buffalo Bills
Predicted finish: 5-11
You might wonder how the Buffalo Bills have avoided qualifying for the playoffs for the past 17 seasons in a league full of parity. Yet, if you have watched the Bills lose talented players like Stephon Gilmore and Sammy Watkins, it all becomes perfectly clear. The Buffalo Bills are determined to suck. And they are succeeding in a big way.
4. New York Jets
Predicted finish: 1-15
We will be the first to admit that this prediction could be a little off, but it is hard to have much faith in anything the Jets do these days. They have cut a number of talented players from their roster, and are clearly looking to build their roster with future draft picks. So this prediction of one win might be wrong. It could be a little too optimistic.
