Angry, vengeful Eli Manning vows to injure more teammates if demands not met

Disaster struck the New York Giants on Sunday, and it turns out, that it wasn’t an accident.

The Giants continued their losing streak in 2017, by dropping to 0-5, with a 27-22 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Yet, as bad as the loss may have been, it was the aftermath of the loss that has Giants fans reeling.

During the game, the Giants lost four different wide receivers to various injuries, including Odell Beckham Jr. to a fractured ankle. Brandon Marshall, Dwayne Harris, and Sterling Shepard also left the contest with injuries that could be lingering.

Afterward, it was revealed that the injuries were not an accident.

“Yeah, I got those guys hurt.” quarterback Eli Manning stated at the podium. “I threw them into trouble, and I don’t mind admitting it. I am sick and tired of the lack of respect that I continue to get, and I have some demands, that I would like to make public. Until those demands are met, I will keep getting teammates hurt with my inaccurate passes, and poor decisions.”

What is it that Manning would like, in order to get his rage to subside?

“First, I want a statue like the one that Peyton just got in Indianapolis. I have won two Super Bowls, and I think I deserve it. Second, I want the Giants to pick all of the Almond Joy and Mounds candy bars out of my Halloween candy this year. I don’t like coconut. Last year, I accidentally ate two or three of those awful things, and ended up throwing up in my locker. My demands will be met, or I will continue to wreak havoc upon my fellow players in this franchise.”

Broncos’ Marshall clarifies: “Kneeling was in support of average quarterbacks.”

After losing endorsements with the Air Academy Federal Credit Union and CenturyLink  for taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem, Denver Broncos linebacker decided to clarify his protest.

Marshall made it clear that his protest was not against the military or the police in any way.

“My kneeling was not anything political.” Marshall stated Monday. “I was simply showing my support for average or below average quarterbacks like Colin Kaepernick who make my life as a defensive player so much easier.”

Many games around the NFL were marked by peaceful demonstrations as players tried to draw attention to racial disparities in the country’s justice system.

Kaepernick,  the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback began the protests when he refused to stand for The Stars Spangled Banner during preseason games.

Marshall hoped his statement might change the minds of the executives who dropped his sponsorships when he knelt during the anthem prior to the Broncos game against the Carolina Panthers, on Thursday night.

“Look I’m against social injustice as much as anyone.” Marshall continued. “But I did like getting those checks. And I’d rather play a quarterback like Kaepernick than a Tom Brady or an Aaron Rodgers.”

Daly Dose Sports Pro Football AFC East Preview

The NFL starts up in less than a week and what better way to get ready for the season than by giving you a preview of what could possibly, maybe, concievably, in a perfect world happen?

First up, the AFC East featuring the New England Patriots…and those other teams.

New England Patriots

11-5 The defending Super Champs don’t look to be as good on paper this season. But you can’t discount the “us against the world” mentality that the Pats will have this year after all of the offseason “Deflategate” controversy. They were just messing around before when they won four Super Bowls. Now they are really really going to get serious.
Buffalo Bills 10-6 Head coach Rex Ryan comes to Buffalo and brings the Bills something they have been lacking: star power. Ryan is a headline name and he has winning seasons on his resume. Unfortunately he didn’t bring a quarterback in his suitcase. So he obviously didn’t bring everything that the Bills were lacking.
Miami Dolphins 7-9 Sure, the Dolphins have been stuck in mediocrity since they last saw the playoffs in 2000, but owner Stephen Ross stepped up with some big money and signed DT Ndamakong Suh and he thinks Miami could be playoff bound. Unfortunately Ryan Tannehill is still the QB and he has even less weapons this year. So welcome to Disappointment City, Mr. Ross. Population: You.
New York Jets 6-10 The Jets had the 6th ranked defense in the NFL last season and the 22nd ranked offense. So they went out and signed some more defensive players and then drafted some more defensive players too. Oh, but they did sign QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and WR Brandon Marshall, both of whom are proven winners. And by “winners” I mean losers.
