Jerry Jones threatens to sue Atlanta Falcons after Sunday blowout

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been threatening to sue the NFL, and some of its fellow owners, over contract negotiations with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

On Sunday, Jones stated that he also plans to sue the Atlanta Falcons for beating his Cowboys 27-7 in their Week 10 contest.

His feud with Goodell stems from Jones’s anger over the commissioner’s suspending of Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys’ star running back, who was accused of domestic violence by his former girlfriend. Goodell sentenced Elliott to a six-game suspension, even though no charges were filed in the case, and Sunday was the first game that the Cowboys were without their star runner.

In Elliott’s absence, Dallas managed just 233 total yards, as the Falcons sacked Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott eight different times.

Following the game, Jones told the Daly Dose of his plans to file a suit against the Falcons franchise.

“It was unfair what they did to us on Sunday.” Jones ranted. ” They knew that we didn’t have Zeke in that backfield, and they took advantage of us. The Falcons are an NFL bully, and they picked on us on Sunday, because we are smaller and weaker.”

“It’s the same thing with the NFL.” he continued. “They like to bully us, because we are a small market franchise, just trying to carve out our place in a very competitive league. So I am going to sue the Falcons. I am going to sue the NFL. I am going to sue Johnny Walker Black for this glass being empty, and I am going to sue the Daly Dose if you tell anyone about this conversation.”
