The AFC North is a collection of the haves and the have-nots. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won six Super Bowls. The Baltimore Ravens have won it twice. Then you have the Cincinnati Bengals, who have lost the big game two times, and the Cleveland Browns who have never even been to a Super Bowl. The good news is that you know what expect most every year in this division. The bad news is that if you’re the Cleveland Browns there is rarely any good news.
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
Predicted finish: 11-5
The Steelers have one of the most dangerous offenses in the entire league. The defense is improving, and with Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and LeVeon Bell who can possibly stop the Steelers this season? Well, it’s probably going to be the New England Patriots, just like every other year.
2. Baltimore Ravens
Predicted finish: 9-7
This team has had more than its share of injuries, but they do have a good young talented defense. Could Baltimore sneak up on some people, and win some low scoring games like they did back in the early 2000’s? It’s possible, because this defense could be pretty good. And also because Joe Flacco is pretty bad.
3. Cincinnati Bengals
Predicted finish: 8-8
The Bengals have some weapons at the skill positions, but their offensive line has really had a hard time protecting QB Andy Dalton. Last season, Dalton was sacked 41 times, but somehow managed to start all 16 games. Then again, the Bengals went 6-9-1 under Dalton. So what is keeping him healthy really doing for them anyways?
4. Cleveland Browns
Predicted finish: 3-13
The Browns could slowly be getting better. Myles Garrett looks like a bona fide top pick, and QB DeShone Kizer could have a bright future. It will still be tough to win many games this season, but congrats to Cleveland. You are no longer a complete, and utter embarrassment! Baby steps, Browns. Baby steps.
