31 NFL teams breathed a huge sigh of relief as the Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Mark Sanchez to a two year contract worth a maximum of $16 million dollars. “We are just thrilled that they took him back so we didn’t feel obligated to bring him back.” stated a spokesman from the New York Jets.
Another assistant coach with the St Louis Rams shared the same sentiment. “We already have one worthless quarterback in Sam Bradford we don’t need another one. I know everyone thinks Chip Kelly is a genius but if he was that smart would he really re-sign that guy?”
The Cleveland Browns have already signed free agent quarterback Josh McCown but that didn’t take the pressure off of them either. One Browns personnel manager said “yes we have McCown and Johnny Manziel but let’s be honest that isn’t even one bona fide quarterback. At least now we don’t have to add Sanchez to this mess too.”
